Kingdom Of Castle Peak

Since I'm having some free time due to re-allocation of timetable, i decided to finally write this out. Had been busy for the past two days, so didn't really had the time to sit down and blog about it.

Saturday morning, went to school around 8.45 to meet up with Jun at the netball court, for the mixed netball fiesta organised by SPSU. After registering the team, we collected our goodies bag and the free T-shirt provided.

Round Robin, playing against 4 other teams in the same group. Overall, we won 2, drew 1 and lost 1 as well. With that, we went through the quarters with 7 points.

Somehow, the event was planned in such a way where top 3 of each group will meet and play against each other in a league format competition, with the one having the highest points as the champion of the event. So, we played another 5 more matches in quick succession. We won 3, drew 1 and lost 1.

Final standing of our team, was... 3rd Place!!

I realised i haven't really introduce the team i was playing, but not that i can remember all of their names so to be safe and fair, i shall just say our team name. It's...

SP Netball Team 3...

First Place: SP Netball Team 1
Second Place : JTC (which is SP Netball Team 2)
Third Place: Us?

If Team 2 won Team 1 in the final game, than we would be in 2ND place due to the superior goal difference we managed to attain in the final 2 games. But it doesn't matter as long everyone in Team 3 played well, and had fun together cause i surely and definitely enjoyed myself during the games.

Just some personal reflection,

Team 1 was combining well with both guys and girls for this event, so i would say they were favourites for this event as either side of the genders were able to go against any team. They were in group 1, so they basically breeze through the round robin stages with complete victories in their 4 games.

Team 2(JTC) was using of the guy's height and ability superiority as an advantage to go against their opponents. They also won in all the games during round robin, but I'm actually proud to say that we were the only team in the round robin stage to score against them losing 6-4 at the final whistle. And we're the only team to force them to put in all 4 of their guys in the team, so u can somehow imagine the pressure we placed on team 2.

Team 3 was our team. We were using more of girl's power than guys. But afterall, our girls were going very well in the team that could go against every team. To have lasted all the way till the final game, i would really want to say that I'm impressed with the girl's in SP NETBALL TEAM 3 playing style and determination to compete against some of the guys in the other team. I would say we fully deserved out 3rd placing, although i still think that we should have been 2ND if i could just played longer against Team 1 during the finals.

I enjoyed myself during this 8 hours there, and i really pushed myself to the limit, enduring both of my legs to semi-cramp situation. I would need to exercise more regualrly i guess? and if only i could do a little more than i had offered during the games, maybe.. ...

Well well, it's over and just wanted to let everyone know that Mid-Autumn Festival is coming real soon, so i will be posting up some moon cakes in my next entry, do come by and take a look and of course spread among your friends if interested=)
