The title already said the main theme about today's entry. . . ICE CAMP 2007! Currently stuck at work and wonder why there isn't much customer today which is very unusual, probably during the O's, N's and PSLE timing, so everyone is either busy studying or parents doesnt allow them to come out as often.

since i got the time, might as well put it to good use by writing an entry before i forget everything else~! I've already talk about Prep camp and most of the job allocation so i will just skip and go straight to the main camp itself. . .

The night before the actual camp, everyone went off to sleep very very late, due to time delay sessions by the Prep Camp Comm, and some others. Most of the time wasting could have be avoided and given probably the Fls sufficient rest to handle the campers coming in the very morning. . . and i hope most of you could already guess it, the Fls didn't have much rest before they have to wake up, wash up, eat breakfast and get ready to recieve the campers at FC5 foyer by 10am!!! If i didn't remember wrongly, i think prep camp officially break out at 4-5am in the morning, with the fact they still have to head towards to T22 from SAC to sleep.

Without breakfast for campers and with quite alot of Milo left since most of the Camp Comm people worked their ass off to finish up all the gifts for the campers, and preparation of materials for nightwalk since there wasn't much time given to the GPs to create their props for night walk. So in the morning, i think i slept till 10, and did some washing up with Peng Yu and waited for the rest of the campers to arrived before the camp officially starts!

The Fls started with whoever that came earlier with some mini icebreaking sessions, and the food team joined in some of the groups, since there wasn't any duty available or needed of us to do. After a long while, the campers regrouped according to their allocated groupings and Fls and had another session of ice breaking.

After that was the introduction of the Camp Comm, or rather the OCs, planners of the camp, called by their greek Gods name and their weapon! However, probably after that session, none of us actually used the greek name to call each other. I would believe that everyone just started to call back each other by their actual names, and so why the theme of this greek mythology inside the camp when nothing from the camp is around even near it. Even the food area that was supposed to be something else, became everyone head towards FC2, FC5 or T15.

Rah! I was just wondering should i even continue writing, since i suddenly got lazy. . . if anyone wanna know more about the camp, i think just find me in school, msn or can even just give me a call and i will explain in full details about the camp!

Over & Out!!!!

Had about two days of break after LTC, and i had to prepare myself for another 6 days of camp in school. I joined the OC team of Ionic Chain Evolution(ICE) Camp, and we were supposed to meet in school in the afternoon but i went after having dinner with my family since there wasn't much for the food team to do during Prep Camp!

When i reached, everyone was busy trying to finish their weapons which in the end was only used for about 30s during the introduction of the camp committee on the actual day itself. Well, since i didn't even started on my weapon, i took the time to get things started and just created some barrel-like weapon since my God name was Dionysus, God of Wine which initially was quite fitting for me since i was part of the food team. After i painted and waited for it to dry, most of us practically just chit chat, talking about anything in the world since there was still some who haven't even reach!

It was only until past 1 in the morning that we started to move out of SAA and started the first night walk route. This year they had ideas of doing two routes instead of the usual one, so we had to walk from FC2 - FC6 and from FC6 -FC2. Some of the routes used were quite reduntant, but there isn't much of a choice since there is two routes to be drawn out, and there isn't much of a space left the school can offer, so no choice if that pathways slowly gives confidences to the campers later on, and making this nightwalk a failure. There is always a risk in this, but there isn't much of a choice either!

Once we reached back to FC2, they asked for the prep camp committee to stay back and discuss about the routes, and since I wasn't involved in the team and was feeling tired, i head back to SAA and slept.

Next morning, the OCs woke up by 10 and gathered at FC5 foyer to meet up with the FLs and GPs to officially start off the two days Prep Camp. Wasn't really involved in the Prep Camp, so basically the FLs become the people to test out the games for the camp, while the GPs will check and see if the games have any problems or require any changes for the actual camp. The FLs had to go through the Night walk route, so I helped out in the Nightwalk preparation. Based on my experience on Nightwalk, the materials they gave us to seal out as much lights along with the people given to assist me in covering up, i would say that many many things could have been better and much more improvements could also have been done for the prep!

As usual, the Fls had to walk the route alone, but due to many problems faced on either routes, the walk started at about 2am and ended about 2 hours later, and I had to bring my team to clear up all the mess before heading back to sleep for the night, or morning instead!!

The second day of Prep, was mainly on the activities held in Sentosa which i didn't go since there was nothing much that interest me, so i stayed back in school and slack around till all the GPs come back to have their dinner, since the food team has decided to do them a favour by buying them dinner back during Prep Camp, which of course wasn't taken from the budget and had to collect from them to the food! The rest of the time in the night was spent doing some performance from the GP, Fls and the partnership of the Fls. After everything was done, and quite alot of time wasting moments, everyone went to sleep at 4-5am the eve before the start of the actual camp!

Suddenly lazy to continue writing, so i will start on the actual camp stuff tomorrow or when i have the feeling too.

Saddening!............................

`hmm, sorry for not blogging for the past 2 weeks of holidays! Just got back from ICE and is currently working and waiting for my work to end at 1am. . .

****WARNING: THIS IS GOING TO BE LONGGGGGGGG POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!****

Let's start with LTC since its the something that came first!!

OCs had to come back to school on Sunday to prepare for P.Ubin the next day! There wasn't much to be done except buying of stuff, briefing of each games and preparing of materials to be brought over! After all of that, everyone went out for a simple dinner and having our final nice warm shower before heading to sleep!!

Woke up at around 7am, to wash up and get changed ready for the start of the camp! Campers were told to report in by 8am, so Gavin and I went up to T19 Foyer to wait for them to arrive! The OCs had some guessing games on how many will be late in the morning, and lazy to remember but i won't forget Bin's cause he said "ALL WILL BE LATE!" We were so scared in the morning that Bin's answer will be accurate for the first time since he always like to bet on the hardest bet to win!

Well, at about 8am sharp, there was about more than a third of the campers so we waited for about 1/2 of them to arrive before we start off this gloomy rainy morning getting them to hold in pumping position while waiting for the rest to come! While majority of them came about 15 minutes late, there is always just one exceptionally late camper due to whatever reasons one person can come out with. So in the end, everyone waited for about 45 mins in that position while waiting for him to arrive!

After all that morning exercise they had, we had a simple and basic bag check before they set off by public bus and head towards Changi Jetty! While the campers went there by bus, I got my uncle to bring all the logistics and some helpers by lorry so we reached there much earlier than them. When we reached, we met up with Frendy's group there as they went there early in the morning to collect the firewoods and kerosene!

Since we reached earlier, we went ahead for lunch while waiting for the campers to arrive there! We waited outside the jetty for about another hour before the campers arrived to have their lunch before finally heading over to P.Ubin! When we arrived there, while the freshies began setting up their own tents, most of the seniors were busy setting up the HQ.

Next was splitting of the groups before they start off their Mass Activity of the Day (M.A.D) which was the Station hunt where the groups were supposed to be walking around the Ubin to search for the different hut locations and memorizing the MRT stations names in order! The activity was pretty much just walking around and around, memorizing the station names in order and heading back to HQ.
The winning group members were: Sherilyn.Iswan.Junjie.BaoLiang

Once all the campers arrived back to HQ, they ate dinner there before having a mini campsong singing session after meal. After that, they had a night activity where they were to protect one VIP from their group from any water bomb while trying to complete the task given to them. Ultimately the activity was supposed to make them wet and enjoy the night, but it seems that the objective of making them all wet failed as i could most of them very dry even after two rounds!

End of the day's activity and so the campers had to bring their belongings and tents and head towards a campsite where they will have their rest there!

I went with Gavin, Adelin & Mark to Mamam campsite for 3 losing groups, while Shawn, Yong Hui & Darren brought the winning group to Nordin campsite. Over on my side, everyone was still pretty much energetic after all whole day of activities probably cause the weather was so cooling after the morning rain and maybe the activities weren't even tiring as we expected them to be? Everyone took about 1 freaking hour before they could settle down and sleep quietly. . .

And so they slept. . . ZzZzZZzzZZZzzz. . . .

ZzZzZZzzZZZzzz. . . . . And we woke them up at around 4.30am, and getting them to pack up and get ready to move back to campsite. I was shocked to hear that the winning group actually woke up at 3 in the morning. Was just wondering if Adelin didn't stop me from waking them earlier. . .

Well, not sure if the camp's mood wasn't serious enough for them, they sure took their bloody own sweet time in packing up so we had to give them an early morning exercise to start off the day. Our side were lucky and had Adelin to thank for, so we only made them do about 40 minutes of 'half of the half squats' when we told them they only did 27 minutes.

Shawn's side was supposed to come over and meet up with us since they woke up even earlier, they had some obstacles to face and gave up coming over as they met up with some of the fiercest dog that even Shawn couldn't get himself to make the rest walk pass, so they had to wait at one of the huts nearby while waiting for help to come from NEA. Our side also arrived there shortly after they left, so by then the dogs has already been kept inside the houses so we walked back to HQ pretty easily. Once they arrived there, after putting down their stuff at HQ, they left for morning PT while i head over to HQ for a short nap to recover some energy for today!

After they finished their morning PT, we made some changes to the groups and had breakfast before having some light activities. Once they've done that, than moving on to the MAD of the day which is Morse Code! Basically, they had to move in their groups, searching for the clues and location given to them, including some bonus like an coconut proudly sponsored by ME, plus some special requests from the helpers following them and heading back to HQ to complete a simple task given to them!
The winning group were: Sherilyn.Iswan.Junjie.BaoLiang.Xanthus

When they arrived, its was for once ahead of schedule so, I had to come out with something for them to do while waiting for the food to come. So i let them have some bonding session over at the basketball court, and when Gavin returned with the food, i think he was shocked to see FIVE casulties and the rest probably already tired out after that activity. So in the end, they had their dinner before having another mini session of campsong singing before getting ready for Night walk at P.Ubin!!

Almost everyone walked alone in this nightwalk which have absolutely no scare point. So after everyone arrived safely at the ending point, they head back towards starting point where they will part again to their campsites since the winning group was the same today.

I head back to HQ for a night's rest while i think they were lucky to have about 5-6 hours to rest which was too much as we agreed on 3 per day! Since they already let them sleep cause i only found out in the morning, the camp still have to go on, so they should have more than enough energy to survive the day itselves.

As usual, once they reached HQ from the campsite, they had their morning PT which is considered quite crazy cause they did 19 times up and down the slope before having some memory game which in the end, they were allowed to walk throughout the game since they were pretty much drained out!

Next they had breakfast to gain back some energy before they stayed at HQ to do some mini activities like survivor of egg, cracking of the coconut, minesweeper and my only game in charge, Human Checkers!

After that, they were told to move around near the HQ to look for materials to maintain the fire for the night. Materials like dried leaves, dead logs, sticks, etc. Once they are done with that, majority of us went up the hut for some auction of materials for their dinner! Using their points they earn throughtout the day!

Most of the auction items were quite repeatitive, due to the fact some of the stuff were missing at the point of time, and we didn't have much variety to talk about in the first place!~ Once they were done with their food item, everyone started heading back to HQ to start off their outdoor survival cooking where they have to use their materials collected to sustain the fire with the limited amout of solid fuel they collected. Some of the groups didn't need much help from us, except certain groups which had countless help from us to sustain their fire to at least ensure everyone cooked their meal and gaining back some energy for the main event later on in the night.

Next up, we had the most fun activity which was the campfire where everyone presented their skits and started to sing campsongs while serving dessert to every camper to enjoy before the final event that they would never realise it in their wildest imagination! While everyone started to think that the camp is almost over and started to relax and fully enjoy and relax, the 'worst' is yet to happen!

Once we officially end the campfire, the campers had to keep their tents and pack their bags, standing in one straight line! They had at least 10 events prepared for them, which i think only a few was used cause i think most of them wont be able to make it. Starting off, they had to pack and unpack their bags!!!

And so they started, our highest timing set last year was 10s to unpack and 18s to do both completed! It seems quite impossible to achieve, but if u really need physical evidences, come find me and i will show it to you? lol... Alright, they didn't managed to attain the time we hit last year, but at last they tried their best. Just a brief run through about the exercise... We asked for a time to unpack their bags, and the first time given was 2 1/2 minutes which was too much time given, but we still gave them anyways. And to prove that the time was more than enough to unpack their bags, i saw Dehui unpacking out of his ziplock bag, and still got the time to slowly place his clothes nicely infront of his bag. That was quite long 2 1/2 minutes was, and about the same time was given to pack up their bags and using the same example, Dehui can still slowly put back his stuff to the ziplock bag and place it nicely in his bag.

Well, lazy to explain entirely, so while they barely managed to hit 30s to unpack their bags, and 1min 30s to pack their bags, a serious incident happened for the first time in camp! Dehui suddenly went down, and was in some kind of shock status, so while our medic couldn't think of a better way to cure him there, we decided to call for external help while doing some basic medical treatment for him.

They had quite a bit of rest while Dehui was brought back to mainland to the nearest hospital for treatment, but by the time Dehui left HQ, he was already recovering back to his normal self. But to play safe, he was brought back to mainland!

While Dehui was brought back, the rest carried on clearing their punishment, and as Gavin and Shawn gradually increased the seriousness of the punishment, most of them was cleared quite easily but it doesn't seem that they can handle anymore physically! Enough of that, since there wasn't much to comment about, except they could even think of singing National Athemn, Elmo's Song during their punishment as their motivation which it took us quite a while to even accept it cause they would rather do that than cheer each other up!

Casultaties were: MeiQi, Han Jie, Eliza, EnQi
Even though they had to retreat from the rest of the group, they did well in general! Good job!

The rest had to continue till they cleared their punishment, and after that, we moved on towards the POP site which was at one end of P.Ubin. Once they reached there, they gave their comments and recieved a reward for completing this camp! Congratulation, and hopefully everyone learn one or two things to bring back and improve themselves!

Nothing much after that, cause i think we didn't grill them enough as most of the seniors were pretty much tired out, while the campers are still left with some energy!! Overall, everyone gave their best, but definately much more improvement can be made!!!!

Alright i think i will end here with some photos, will update tomorrow!

BAKA! I've been spending most of my time watching Naruto till i can confidently say that i know alot that i really can't wait to start watching Shippuuden, but since its only up till epsiode 27, i've spent most of the time watching the rest of the fillers despite the fact that everyone telling me to jump straight to the main story instead of wasting time watching fillers.

Well, there isn't much of a rush to jump straight to the main story since it has only shown up till 27, might as well spend the time available during work to watch the fillers. But then, as the story goes on, the fillers are really getting worse, as in its simply nothing worth watching. So i've already finish watching the first 5 episode of Shippuuden, and would want to take it easy before i really watch finish everything. . .

I guess since most of the Brotherhood peeps have gone to SAA LTC cruise trip, and i have much stuff on my head to complete, including attending my graduation for my flying course that i took earlier this year. Not sure why they suddenly want to have a graduation for us since we didn't actually complete the whole course due to many many reasons, i will of course attending it and hope to find more clues on my career prospect at the same time! SMIT LTC is also due next week, and not sure whether many are roaring to go, i'm definately waiting for the day to come as i personally believe its a camp not to be missed. Physically & mentally challenging i would say, but if you were to phrase it as torture, i think our camp is probably the lousiest torture camp in standards. HA....

alright, enough of my crappyness, and time to get back to work.... Hope to see everyone soon!!!

Ja Ne!!!~~

hmm, things are sure getting very boring either resting at home, or just wandering around the streets. Ha.. i guess this is just one of the boring part of having holidays during poly life, but things should get more interesting i hope!!

other than the chalet on the first three days of the chalet, i went to work and spent the rest of the two days resting mostly at home, not doing anything very interesting to talk about. Next week should be abit more getting myself busier with more work since i wont be free for the next two weeks after that as i would have to handle two camps in that time span which will be quite crazy for me to even think about heading to work since both camps are going to be tiring no matter what job duties i am doing for either camp!

things sure are getting more different from since the start of my second year of my poly year and hopefully things can only get better and more fun as time passes along. . . Not sure if anyone can understand the feeling i have not, so... this disappointment which i just can't get rid of is within me, come to think of it, it looks like the sealed fox demon in Naruto!

GOSH. . . i think i've gone crazy watching too much of naruto, especially since i'm already at the fillers of the show and still waiting for someone to hand me up till the latest set of the second seasion so i can start converting and watch it on my PSP!!

alright alright, seems this will be enough... screw my human clock, its overturned and unable to adjust! HA
